How might I feel after a Sound Bath?  It's very likely that you'll feel a bit spacey so it's important to give yourself plenty of time to bring yourself back around once the session has finished. We will do simple grounding techniques at the end that will help bring you back into your body.

Some people seemed to go really deep but I just floated around on the surface Each time you experience a Sound Bath it will be different and everyone experiences them differently. The best thing to do is to let go of any expectation and just allow yourself the restful time and space that the Sound Bath gives you, then surrendering to whatever happens is much easier and you never know where the sounds might take you : )  Even if you don't feel like you've gone very deep, your body has experienced the sound on many levels and will always take away something from the experience.

I was expecting it to be relaxing but I also feel a bit emotional, why is that? Your body will experience deep relaxation during a Sound Bath but it's not uncommon for feelings and emotions to arise to the surface as the brain wave frequencies change and the pathways to the subconscious are clear. Try not to judge what is happening but just allow any emotions to rise and pass, it's the body's way of clearing and unloading the baggage that we carry around.  When blockages are released we can experience this release as a rush of emotion accompanied by tears. It's beneficial to just breathe through these moments, experience them and let them pass without becoming attached to a story.

What's the best thing to do after a Sound Bath session? If you feel spacey and slow then take it easy, take some rest and drink plenty of water. Your body has been through a vibrational experience on a cellular level, some people may experience this as a shift and feel sleepy, some may feel energised and ready to party - it's different for everyone so the best thing to do is to listen to your body and see what it's telling you.
